Subsurface Evaluations, Inc. (SEI), is the foremost geological consulting firm in the Southeast. Our mission is to provide specialty-expertise in sinkhole development potential, ground-water flow through caves and springs, and detection of buried man-made or natural environmental liabilities. Our professional staff provides high-tech, specialty, geophysical surveys and hydrogeological evaluations to the leading geotechnical engineering companies, environmental consultants and government agencies.

Founded in 1987 by the late William L. Wilson, PG, SEI is now headed by his son, Robert J. Wilson and wife, Diane C. Wilson. With almost 30 years experience, Mr. Wilson was a nationally recognized expert in evaluation of sinkhole development hazards; interpretation of GPR in karst terrain, and contaminant transport through cave networks. Geology and geophysical operations are lead by Carl R. L. Brown, P. G., Regional Manager and Principal Geologist. Mr. Brown has over 30 years experience in environmental remediation, drill rig operations, expert witness, and geophysics.

SEI holds Certificate of Authorization No. 16 (Florida) to offer geological consulting services and Certificate of Authorization No. 8957 (Florida) to offer engineering consulting services. SEI applies advanced geophysical survey techniques to characterize the geology of sites.
