Karst Science

Lindsay McCollough is the 2005 and second recipient of the William L.
Wilson Memorial Scholarship (WLWMS) for karst and geology studies. Ms.
McCollough holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology, 2003 from
Wittenberg University. She is currently a Masters of Geology candidate
in the Department of Geosciences, Mississippi State University. She is
studying under John Mylroie, Professor at MSU.
Ms. McCollough’s topic is a karst assessment of Abaco Island,
Bahamas.
Recommendations include her dependable and efficient fieldwork
especially in the tropical island environment and shows a sense of
discovery and adventure in her work She has held the position of
secretary and president of the local caving club and remains very active
in the caving community.
We are happy to award this scholarship to an excellent candidate.
